59th IPL Match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super kings took place at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 10th May, 2024. Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided for bowling first.

FIRST INNING:
Sai Sudharsan and Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill started the inning for the team! They both played fearless cricket and boosted the inning in a proper manner. Chennai Super kings bowlers were clueless to break the opening partnership of Gujarat Titans. GT Skipper Shubman Gill took a chance to open with Sai Sudharsan and it became fruitful for Gujarat Titans! Both of them made century ton without loosing their wicket. Sai Sudharsan scored 103 runs in 51 balls with 5 fours and 7 sixes while skipper Shubman Gill smashed 104 runs in 55 balls with 9 fours and 6 isxes!!! Both provided 210 runs Opening partnership which is 3rd highest partnership of the IPL. Tushar Deshpande grabbed their wickets in his last over. Gujarat Titans scored 231-3!

 

SECOND INNING:
David Miller did run out to Rachin Ravindra brilliantly and Sandeep Warrier took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane in his first over. Chennai Super kings captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad got out in duck by Umesh Yada. After three dismissal of Chennai Super kings, Caryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali came to rescue and played Steadily. Mitchell and Moeen formed a 109 runs partnership which was very impactful for Chennai Super Kings. Mohit Sharma was totally lethal against Chennai Super Kings and broke the mitchell-Moeen partnership. After Mitchell and Moeen gone, Jadeja, Shivam and Dhoni pulled some shots, but that wasn’t enough due to high score! Chennai Super Kings failed to chase the target! Mohit Sharma took 3 wickets in the middle overs to weaken CSK chances. Rashid Khan took 2 wickets while Umesh Yadav and Sandeep Warrior grabbed one wicket each.

Shubman Gill was named as player of the match for his captain inning .The Opening partnership between Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill was a masterclass batting, they had full control with their bats! Sai Sudharsan’s margin of error is very low this season. Shubman Gill smashed a captain’s knock in a must win game. After this Win, Gujarat Titans climbed to 8th position of the point table.

Chennai Super King wasn’t up to mark in fielding! Tushar Deshpande dropped the catch of Shubman Gill! CSK had poor start and lost 3 wickets in first four overs. Partnership between Moeen Ali and Daryl Mitchell was positive thing in batting of CSK. Except Tushar Despande, other Bowlers were unable to take wickets. That’s too much runs on board, which made it impossible for CSK to chase! Now CSK holds 4th position of the point table.
