8Th Match Of the BBL 2023-24 between Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers took
Alex Hales started well but failed . But at the other end, Bancroft put the team in a strong position by his marvelous knock . Oliver Davies and Alex Ross gave him good support at the crease . Bancroft scored 74 runs in 54 balls with 6 fours and 1 six . At the end of the first inning, McAndrew played some good shots . Sydney Thunder scored 200-7. David Payne and J Overton shared two wickets each .
Mathew Short and D Arcy Short gave a strong start to the Adelaide Strikers and both made a good partnership of 139 runs . Matthew Short scored 82 runs in 41 balls with five fours and 6 Sixes and he also took one wicket which helped him to grab player of the match Award . D Arcy Short scored 66 runs in 47 balls with 6 Fours and 2 sixes . Adam Hose stayed at the crease till the end to make sure the win .Adelaide Strikers chased down the target in 19.4 overs very easily .
This was first win of Adelaide Strikers in this BBL Season and got two points . Sydney Thunder lost two matches repeatedly .
