Surya’s Century Ensured a Stunning Victory for Mumbai Indians Against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

55th IPL Match between Mumbai Indians and Sun risers Hyderabad were playing at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on 6th may, 2024. Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first.

FIRST INNING-
Travis head is total sincere in his work! He always are doing his work as an opener. Today’s Match. He delivered another beautiful knock for his team. He smashed 48 runs in 30 balls with 7 four and one six. But Others batters of SRH was not up to their strength and had no clue to play, Jasprit Bumrah broke the opening partnership of SRH. He has been very economical in this Season. Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla provided many Break throughs for his team. Both had a good bowling attacks against SRH and take 3 wickets each. At the end of overs, SRH skipper Pat Cummins played very clever and smashed 35 runs in 17 balls with 2 four and 2 sixes which helped SRH to reached 173-8. Bumrah and Anshul Kamboj got one wicket each.

 

 

 

 

SECOND INNING-
SRH bowlers showed brilliant bowling attack in the first power play. Marco jansen broke the opening partner of MI by taking wicket of Ishan Kishan. In first power play, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins bowled one maiden over each. After dismissals of MI’s 3 wicket, Surya Kumar yadav and Tilak verma made much needed partnership for the team. Surya went after  every bowlers of SRH. SRH bowlers failed  to break their partnership. Surya and Tilak gave no Chance to SRH bowlers. T20 World cup is nearing and Surya Kumar Yadav smashed a century in just 51 balls and chased down the target in 18th over with 7 wickets in hand. Tilak Verma scored  37 runs in 32 balls with 6 fours and provided a good support to Surya.

Surya Kumar Yadav was named the player of the match For his century knock!! The partners between Surya and tilak was very Important for MI. In bowling, Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla didn’t give much chance to SRH batters for settling down . Mumbai Indians had good control in batting and bowling, but in fielding, they had couple of catch dropped. After this win, Mumbai Indians re-emerged at 9th position of point table.

Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman were total disaster to tackle the MI bowlers. In Bowling, they had their moments, but that didn’t last long. Just because of Pat Cummins’s late knock, SRH reached 173, Otherwise they couldn’t even  had crossed 150. Sunrisers Hyderabad still holds 4th position of point table. SRH should bring Aiden Markram or Glenn Philips to the squad for the next match.
