54th IPL Match between Lucknow Super giants and Kolkata Knight Riders was playing in the Ekna Stadium of Lucknow on May 5th, 2024. Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and decided bowling first.

FIRST INNING— Philip Salt and Sunil narine came to open the inning for Kolkata Knight riders and Provided a perfect starts for team. Sunil narine started slowly in the initial stages , yet later smashed an impactful knock. Salt scored 32 runs across 14 balls including 5 fours and one six. After Salt’s depart, Narine didn’t stop bashing to every bowler of LSG!! Angkrish Raghuvanshi supported good to Sunil Narine. Sunil narine smashed 81 runs in 39 balls; 5 fours and 7 sixes! After narine has gone, No one played like he did. But others contributed in small margins. By end of innings, Shreyash Iyer and Ramandeep pulls some shorts, KKR reached 235-6. SECOND Inning-
LSG openers tried a good start, but Starc broke the opening partnership. LSG captain KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis formed 50 runs partnership which also didn’t lasts long! Harshit Rana dismisses KL Rahul and after that. LSG wickets kept falling non-stop; LSG batters had no answers against KKR bowling attack . Due to the high score on board, Lucknow Super giants was under too much pressures! Only Marcus Stoinis was ruthless against KKR bowlers for a time. Stoinis smashed 36 runs in 21 balls with 4 fours and two sixes! Andre Russell took down Stoinis in a slow ball. Varun Chakravarthy’s variations; dangerous against LSG batters. LSG was all out in just 137 runs! Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets each; Andre Russell took two wickets & Mitchell Starc and Sunil Narine took one wicket each.
They gave Sunil Narine the player of the match award for his explosive knock and economical bowling. The KKR bowlers were ruthless against LSG batsmen ! Narine’s knock took the Game Away from LSG, Following this victory, KKR jumps to no -1 position on point table with NRR +1.453.
Lucknow Super giants failed in all three departments, They missed couple catches from Sunil Narine; “catches win matches”; In batting, they couldn’t find the rhythm! After winning toss, decided to bowl first wasn’t a good decision and could not taking advantages of it. Now They holds 5th position on the point table.
