South Africa has finally secured a spot in a men’s World Cup final by dominating Afghanistan with a commanding nine-wicket victory in the T20 Cup semi-final at Tarouba, Trinidad. This win marks a significant milestone as the Proteas their historical semi-final misfortunes into a triumphant entry into their first-ever final, where they will face either India or England.

At the coin toss, both team captains expressed a preference to bat first; however, it was Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan who won the toss. This decision quickly seemed regrettable as Afghanistan’s batsmen struggled against South Africa’s fierce bowling, which showcased varied bounce, seam movement, and relentless pace.
