Dhruv Jurel scored the highest with 81 not out, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made a quick 78, which further helped Rajasthan Royals defeat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets in the IPL 2026 match itself in Guwahati. We are seeing that RCB could not win because Sooryavanshi and Jurel made 108 runs together in only 37 balls when their team needed 202 runs to win. Earlier, Rajat Patidar playing a captain’s knock only to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru put a big score of 201/8 in Guwahati. The RCB captain actually scored a brilliant 63 runs from 40 balls and definitely saved his team when the top batsmen got out early. Virat Kohli surely got out early when Ravi Bishnoi bowled a well-hidden googly, but Venkatesh Iyer came as Impact Substitute and hit big shots in the final overs. Moreover, Iyer’s batting helped the team score quickly at the end of the innings. Venkatesh Iyer scored 30 runs in 9 balls without getting out, which helped RCB reach further than 200 runs. His batting performance itself included hitting 4, 6, 6 in the last over. Sooryavanshi and Jurel’s Powerful Batting Was Enough to Keep Rajasthan Royals Unbeaten .

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU-
After losing Phil Salt off the first ball of the contest, to Jofra Archer, Kohli took charge in the Powerplay, making a 10-ball 22 in a quickfire 45-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal. Basically, Kohli hit seven boundaries in his 16-ball innings, but after he got out, RCB collapsed the same way teams do under pressure, going from 45/1 to 76/5 in just six overs.

Also, thanks to Patidar’s performance, and definitely a late appearance from Venkatesh Iyer that actually made the difference. The RCB captain surely stayed at one end and built small partnerships to handle the difficult situation while his middle-order teammates got out. Moreover, he managed to stabilize the innings during this challenging period. As per the match situation, he started attacking in the 15th over regarding Nandre Burger’s bowling and hit two sixes. Patidar further gave similar treatment to Ravi Bishnoi, while he completed his half-century in 35 balls itself. When Sandeep Sharma dismissed him to surely damage RCB more, the visiting team brought their impact substitute who then attacked the fast bowler for 21 runs in the last over. Moreover, this helped push their team’s total beyond 200 runs.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS-
The 15-year-old dealt in boundaries and rained sixes. Of the 97 – yes 97 – that RR whacked in the Powerplay, Sooryavanshi accounted for 57 by himself, in just 18 deliveries. Actually, Jurel played only four balls until the fifth over and definitely added three runs to the 52-run partnership. The young opener attacked both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood further, showing no mercy to either bowler itself. The best part of his aggressive batting was the fourth over itself, where he hit three boundaries and further pulled a short ball over deep square leg, forcing RCB to change their bowler early.

Jurel hammered home the advantage Sooryavanshi’s assault gave RR. He attacked Abhinandan Singh in the last Powerplay over and scored 24 runs to reach 27* from 10 balls, as per his aggressive approach. Regarding his innings, he went from 3 runs off 4 balls and never stopped after that. We are seeing that defending 200 runs was only going to be very hard for RCB without Suyash Sharma, and they had to bring in a batting player as substitute. Jurel made sure that even when there were some problems in the middle overs, the defending champions could not come back into the match. After losing Sooryavanshi and Shimron Hetmyer in successive deliveries, and further losing skipper Riyan Parag next over, Jurel took charge and made a 68-run unbroken partnership with Ravindra Jadeja to win the match itself. As per his performance, he helped RR stay unbeaten and stopped RCB’s winning run regarding their matches.
Brief scores:
Basically, RCB made 201/8 with Patidar scoring 63 and Kohli getting 32, but RR chased the same target easily in 18 overs with Jurel’s 81* and Sooryavanshi’s 78 to win by 6 wickets.
