62ND IPL MATCH BETWEEN ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU  AND DELHI CAPITALS:

62nd IPL Match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals was were played in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 12th May, 2024. Delhi Capitals won the toss and choose to bowl first.

FIRST INNING-

Mukesh Kumar got Faf du plesis out in his first over , Virats Kohli was messing with Ishant Sharma and Ishant Sharma got his wicket in his second over , and after the dismissal of Du Plesis and Kohli’s, Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar handled the situation very careful and carried the team to a solid score ! Jacks and Rajat built a steady partnership and tackled Delhi capitals bowlers very careful ,Will jacks smashed 41 runs in 29 balls with Threes fours and Twos sixes ! Rajat Patidar‘s consistency has been remarkable in this IPL Season! He again started hitting from his first ball and smashed 52 runs in 32 balls with Threes fours and Threes sixes, Cameron Green thrown in 32 runs in 24 balls with One four and twos sixes towards the end of the overs! Delhi Captals had bowled extremely well at the end! RCB scored 187-9! Khaleel Ahmed and Rasikh Salam took twos wickets each, while Ishant, Mukesh Kumar, and Kuldeep grabbed one wicket each.

SECOND INNING:
Impact plyer David Warner and Jake Fraser-McGurk came to open the inning for Capitals. Buts Warner got out early by Swapnil Singh. Jake terrorized with few good shots! But that didn’t last! Shai hope and Delhi Captains Captain Axar patel tried to handle the pressure but  it wasn’t enough! Chasing turned to be hard for DC batters vs. the RCB bowlers, also the DC Skipper Axar kept smashing allover boundaries! After Axar, no other batters dared to face off against RCB bowlers! Delhi capitals collapsed all out for just 140 runs! Yash Dayal took 3 wickets,, Lockie ferguson trapped 2 wickets while Swapnil,, Siraj, and Greens grabbed won one wicket each.

 

Cameron Green was called Player of the Match for his excellent contribution in both batting and bowling! Ferguson, Yash Dayal, and Greens provided tights spells to DC batsmen which pressurized them into getting all out! The partnership between Rajat Patidar and Will Jacks was a significant plus for RCB, helping the team secure a good score on the board! With this Victory, RCB climbs to 5th position of points table! Now with Playoffs Chances more alive!

Delhi capitals started well by capturing Faf du Plesis and Virat Kohli wicket! But they dropped several catches of RCB batsmen which cost them the match! Sure, Rishabh Pant’s absence made sad  them even more! But Axar Patel played an essential knock; sadly, he received no support from the other batters! Now Delhi Capital holds the 6th position of points table.
