FIRST POWER PLAY: Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis Show

Tushar Deshpande conceded only 2 runs in the over first. Virat kohli and faf Du Plessis started well but CSK Duo Spinner Santner and Theekshana slowed down run rate for RCB, RCB did no mistakes lose wickets in power play.

MIDDLE OVERS:

Virat Kohli scoring 47 runs in 29 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Kohli got out by Santner . RCB Captain Faf Du Plesis made a half century but run out unlucky. Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green formed strong partnership between them.

DEATH OVERS:

Rajat Patidar again played sensible knock for team. Rajat Patidar and Cameron green was boosting middle order of RCB. CSK bowlers had no clue to take wickets. Rajat Patidar smashed 41 runs in 23 balls with two fours and four sixes. Many runs end of the overs. Cameron green scored 38 runs in 17 balls with three fours and three sixes. With help of brilliant displays RCB scored 218-5.

SECOND INNING

FIRST POWER PLAY:

CSK lose their Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad in first ball of over first by Glenn maxwell. Yash Dayal got Daryl Mitchell in first over. Ajinkya Rahane joined Rachin Rivendra on crease and handled situation very careful.

MIDDLE OVERS:

Rachin Ravindra and Ajinkya managed to finding boundaries. Ferguson broke partnership successfully in first over. Rahane scored 33 runs in 22 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. Rachin has been good with bat and scored 61 runs in 37 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Rachin got run out in mix blunder between him and Shivam Dubey .Cameron green came and took out dangerous batsman Shivam Dubey. Santner got out by Siraj and beautiful catch was taken by RCB Captain Faf Du Plessis.

DEATH OVERS:

Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja started hitting boundaries to qualify for the Play offs. Ravindra Jadeja remained at crease for hopefully Play off. Ravindra Jadeja smashed 42 runs in 22 balls included 3 fours and 3 sixes! Jadeja and Dhoni couldn’t finish game and CSK eliminated from IPL.

KEY PERFORMANCES:-

TURNING POINT:-

RCB Opening partnership between Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis much needed for situation. Rajat and Green’s partnership boosted run rate of RCB. Crossing 200 was to much for CSK. Rachin’s runout turned table for RCB in 2nd inning. Jadeja and Dhoni tried but failed to  touch finish line.

CONCLUSION:-

RCB survived a late Jadeja-Dhoni scare totaling on right side of another Chinnaswamy thriller with CSK to take them to fourth playoff spot. CSK lose way after a start that kept RCB toe. Shivam Dubey’s failing to going, and run out of Rachin Ravindra left CSK with too much to do in death. CSK finish 5th position of point table. RCB head Ahmedabad to face one of RR, or SRH in Eliminator on May 22.
