FIRST INNINGS-
Ajinky Rahane was taken out by Matt Henry, very cheaply, indeed. Chennai Super kings Captain, Ruturaj gaikwad, he played in an very aggressive manner and took charge of that game bravely. After the dismissals of 3 wickets of Chennai Super Kings, Shivam Dube came in with a good support to Captain Ruturaj and he smashed the balls all over the boundaries. The Partnership between Shivam Dube and Ruturaj made 104 runs partnership and they put the team in a good position . Shivam Dube scored 66 runss in 27 balls, includes 3 fours and 7 sixes. The CSK Captain, makes a Century, which was much necessary to the team. Matt henrey, Mohsin Khan, and Yash Thakur tooks 1 wicket each. Ruturaj scores a whopping 108 runs in just 60 balls, having 12 fours and 3 sixes included. With the explosives batting from Shivam Dube and Ruturaj, Chennai Super kings reached a score of 210-4. The Mr Cool, MS Dhoni, comes to bat for 1 ball and smashed a four!
SECOND INNINGS – A thrilling one!
Deepak Chahar got De Kock in a duck. Mustafizur took the wicket of KL Rahul in his first over. Despite of wickets falling left and right, Marcus Stoinis kept hitting boundaries and refused Chennai Super kings the charge of the game. After Padikkal’s wicket, Nicholas Pooran comes in and starts smashing the balls. Pooran scored 34 runs in just 15 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. His support to Stoinis was short termed. Stoinis didn’t received much help from other batters, except for Pooran. But Stoinis, oh, still smashed a century in 56 balls. Matheesha Pathirana takes 2 wickets. Stoinis took the game away from Chennai Super kings and chased the target in final over with a little help of Deepak Hooda. Deepak Hooda’s contribution was little but believe me, Impactful for the team. Stoinis scored 124 runs in just 63 balls, with 13 fours and 6 sixes.
Marcus Stoinis got the player of the match for his horrific chasing show. Who would have thought, in Chennai, Chennai Super kings got defeated. In Bowling Department, Lucknow couldn’t do much. But Lucknow, they turned the table in batting. Marcus Stoinis, alone, had done the Job. After this win, Lucknow Super Giants climbed to № 4 position on the point table.
Chennai Super kings, they couldn’t keep momentum to their self. CSK had much misfeilding issues. Deepak Chahar bowled only for 2 overs. Why he didn’t come to bowl another 2 overs is a mystery. Shardul Thakur came as an impact player and gave too much runs. Some questions are going to stay unanswered. Chennai Super Kings is now at 5th position on the point table. This marks the first loss at home for Chennai super kings.
