The 1st ODI between West Indies and England was played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua . England Captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bat . West Indies Couldn’t qualify for ODI world cup,2023 and England wasn’t good in ODI world Cup,2023.They both wanted to rectify their mistakes in this series.
At the 1st Innings, Salt started very well .Salt and Crawley couldn’t get half century . Harry Brook, what a young talent , was fabulous at the crease and scored 71 runs in 72 balls with 7 runs and 2 sixes . Sam Curran and Carse did well at the end of the overs and England reached to 325-10 . Romerio Shepherd, Motie and Oshane Thomas took 2 wickets each .
West Indies openers started strongly against England . Alick Athanaze’s 66 runs knock did put west indies on track . After 3 wickets of west indies was fallen, West indies ODI Captain Sai Hope came and stood there in a positive manner . His Brilliant century was enough to win 1st ODI match . Hetmyer and Shepherd was also helpful to get runs on the scoreboard . West Indies won by 4 wickets . Gus Atkinson and Rehan Ahmed got 2 wickets each .
2nd ODI between West Indies and England is going to take place on Dec 06, 2023. West Indies must be happy with their 1st winning . England will look into their mistakes and come with a better plan in the next ODI match ,
