3RD T20I, SRI LANKA Vs BANGLADESH, COLOMBO , 2025 HIGHLIGHTS : Bangladesh Claimed First Ever T20 Series Against Sri Lanka .
Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Mahedi Hasan starred as Bangladesh sealed their first ever T20I series win over Sri Lanka with a thumping eight-wicket win in the final T20I at the R. Premadasa Stadium. This is Bangladesh’s first-ever T20I series victory over Sri Lanka and the win, one of their easiest in recent memory as they chased down 133 with 21 balls to spare, was a fitting culmination. And Mahedi Hasan was the architect of Sri Lanka’s collapse with a fine spell of spin bowling on a sluggish surface. He took a career-best 4 for 11, cutting through the middle order after the hosts were reduced to 29 for 3. Mahedi Hasan’s figures are the best by any bowler in T20Is in Colombo. He bettered the record of Harbhajan Singh, which and when he took 4/12 against England in the 2012 T20 World Cup . Bangladesh Claimed First Ever T20 Series Against Sri Lanka .

SRI LANKA-
Mahedi finished an impressive spell of bowling claiming Nissanka caught and bowled to pick up a wicket maiden as Sri Lanka slumped to 66 for 5. Kamindu struck a six and a four off Tanzim Hasan Sakib, but was dismissed shortly after by Shamim Hossain. When the 17th over concluded, Sri Lanka had not even reached 100 and had lost their seventh wicket, that of Vandersay to Mustafizur Rahman. They had only 110, at the close of the 19th. The fact they ended up past 130 was because of Dasun Shanaka, who struck two sixes and as many fours in an over that cost Shoriful 22 to beef up Sri Lanka’s total.
BANGLADESH-
The 74-run stand ended in the ninth over after a slogsweep led to Litton’s dismissal, caught by Kamindu Mendis off Dasun Shanaka for 32. But Tanzid wasn’t to be denied and smoked a Vandersay delivery over the leg-side for a six, before edging for four, racing to a 27-ball fifty to lift Bangladesh to 89 for 2 at the halfway point of their innings. Bangladesh reached 100 in the 12th, when Maheesh Theekshana dropped Tanzid off Kamindu who was also hit for a six in the over. Towhid was content playing second fiddle, exchanging the strike with Asif, before he was promoted to partner Asif with a four off Thushara and a six off Theekshana before hitting the winning run.
